Intermediate Wooden Clarinets Perth
Moving to your first wooden clarinet is an important step in a developing musician’s journey. A quality wooden clarinet can offer greater tonal depth, projection and flexibility, giving the player more control as their technique and musical demands develop.
At Tempest Music, we offer Perth’s largest range of intermediate clarinets, with wooden clarinets from leading makers including Backun, Buffet Crampon, Yamaha and Jupiter. This gives players the opportunity to compare different brands and discover the differences for themselves.
Every Wooden Clarinet Is Different
Every wooden clarinet has its own character. Differences in tone, resistance, response, intonation and keywork can be surprisingly noticeable, even between individual instruments of the same model.
Specifications are useful, but they cannot tell you how a particular clarinet will sound or respond when you play it. The most expensive clarinet, or the brand preferred by another player, is not necessarily the right instrument for you.
Play-Test Before You Choose
We strongly encourage players to play-test different brands and individual instruments before making a decision.
Our experienced musicians can guide the comparison and help you understand differences in tone, response, resistance, comfort, intonation and projection. There is no rush to choose. Through a guided selection process, it can become surprisingly clear which clarinet best suits the individual player.
The aim is to find the wooden clarinet that supports your development and allows you to produce the sound you are looking for most easily.
Flexible Purchase Options
Moving to a wooden clarinet can be a significant investment. We offer flexible payment and purchase options to help make upgrading to the right instrument more manageable. Our team can explain the options available while you are comparing clarinets.
