Jupiter Wave Flute – Split E

The Jupiter Wave Flute with Split E is designed specifically for younger and smaller beginners who may not yet be comfortable holding a standard full-size flute. Its distinctive Waveline headjoint reduces the reach required while maintaining a playing position similar to a full-size flute.

A More Natural Playing Position

The Jupiter Wave differs from a traditional curved-head flute in an important way.

Both designs shorten the reach and both are held to the right. However, a traditional curved headjoint positions the body of the flute further away from the player.

The Jupiter Waveline headjoint keeps the flute in a similar plane to a standard full-size flute, while still reducing the reach required by a smaller player.

This allows the student to become accustomed to a playing position that is closer to the one they will use when they eventually move to a standard straight-head flute.

Which Smaller Flute Is Right for Your Child?

There is no single design that suits every young player. A traditional curved-head flute may suit one child, while another may be more comfortable with the Jupiter Wave.
