The Oscar Adler 1361 Bassoon is a German-made orchestra model for advanced bassoonists looking for greater tonal depth, flexibility and a more comprehensive key system.
Made from long-seasoned flamed Bosnian maple, the 1361 combines traditional German bassoon craftsmanship with the response and tonal character required for advanced repertoire, orchestral playing and demanding ensemble work.
The 1361 represents a significant step up within the Oscar Adler range. Its more extensive keywork gives the player greater technical flexibility, while the carefully selected maple and quality construction support a rich, resonant sound across the registers.
Having performed professionally and taught bassoon for more than 40 years, I particularly value instruments that allow the player to develop their own sound rather than having to work against the instrument.
