Violins indulge in a slow blues tune (useful for encouraging vibrato), accompanied by chromatic glissandi, walking bass and piano. The tune sounds well in third position, but is playable in first. Elementary instrumentalists will manage the simple 3rd violin/viola part and cellists will enjoy their chromatic pizzicato and rich, smooth tune. The piano line is an important component and should not be omitted. An original concert novelty, which provides great programming interest.
