Buffet Crampon E13 A Wooden Clarinet

The Buffet Crampon E13 A Clarinet is a high-quality wooden A clarinet for advancing players moving into more demanding orchestral and chamber repertoire. Made from grenadilla wood, it offers the warm tonal character and refined response expected from a quality wooden clarinet.

An A Clarinet for the Advancing Player

As clarinettists progress, an A clarinet becomes increasingly important for orchestral, chamber and advanced repertoire. It complements the player’s B♭ clarinet and allows them to perform music specifically written for clarinet in A.

The E13 A is an excellent option for the developing musician who needs a quality wooden A clarinet without immediately moving to a professional-level instrument.

Rich Tone and Refined Response

The grenadilla wood construction gives the E13 a warm, resonant sound with the tonal flexibility required for more advanced playing. Its silver-plated keywork provides a comfortable playing feel, while the instrument offers the developing player greater control over tone, dynamics, articulation and projection.

Compare Before You Choose

Every wooden clarinet has its own character. At Tempest Music, we recommend play-testing the Buffet E13 A and assessing its tone, response, resistance, intonation and keywork rather than choosing from specifications alone.

For players who already own a B♭ clarinet, it is also important to consider how the A clarinet complements their existing instrument in sound, response and feel.
